The Problem
Server updates, deployments, hosting migrations — planned maintenance is part of everyday life. The problem? Your monitoring fires off downtime alerts and floods your inbox with false alarms.
With maintenance windows, you tell pingport: "Between 2:00 and 4:00 AM, work is being done — no panic." Your alerts stay clean, your uptime stats stay accurate, and your team stays relaxed.
How does it work?
Create a time window per website — with start, end, and optional recurrence (daily, weekly, monthly). For spontaneous maintenance, use the quick-start button: click, pick a duration, done.
During an active maintenance window, you have two modes: suppress alerts (monitoring continues but no notifications) or pause monitoring entirely (no checks, no records).
On the dashboard and website detail page, you instantly see which websites are currently in maintenance. Maintenance periods are visually highlighted in the uptime chart.
Two modes for every situation
Depending on the situation, you either want to mute notifications — or pause monitoring entirely. Maintenance windows support both.
Suppress alerts
Monitoring continues normally, but no alert emails are sent. Perfect when you want to keep the data but don't want to be disturbed. Uptime checks are still recorded.
Pause monitoring
No checks, no records, no alerts. Uptime stats are unaffected because nothing is measured during this period. Ideal for expected downtime.
Highlights
Quick start
Spontaneous maintenance? One click, pick a duration (30 min, 1h, 2h, 4h) and the maintenance window starts immediately. No forms, no timezone math.
Clean statistics
Maintenance windows with paused monitoring don't create uptime checks. Your uptime percentages aren't skewed by planned downtimes.
Visual in the chart
Maintenance periods are highlighted in the response time chart. You see at a glance when maintenance happened and when it didn't.
Dashboard integration
Websites in active maintenance are prominently displayed on the dashboard. Your team instantly sees which websites are intentionally offline or in maintenance mode.
